Monthly Birthday Celebrations!

 

Second graders may celebrate their birthdays by having a parent bring in cupcakes, cookies, doughnuts, or

treat bags (preferred method)  but must first give the teacher 3 days notice to give parents of students with allergies the opportunity to send in an alternative treat. Students are encouraged to bring in a favorite book to donate to the classroom library as well.

The Daulton PTA is proud to launch a new birthday celebration program for our Daulton Dragons! Each month, students with birthdays that month will have a small celebration at school including popsicles, music and a pencil gift. Parents are unable to attend due to scheduling

constraints. IF your child has an allergy that does not allow them to have a popsicle, we will provide Annie’s Organic Gummies for them; otherwise, please provide an alternate snack on the day of the celebration. June and July birthdays will be celebrated in May and August birthdays will be celebrated in September.

– Introducing the Daulton Dragons PTA Birthday Book Club!

The Daulton PTA is proud to introduce a new program to celebrate our Students’ birthdays while increasing our library circulation. Become a member of the Birthday Book Club for a donation of $20. This membership allows the student during his/her birthday month to select a new hardcover book from our Birthday Collection list and donate it to the Daulton Library. A bookplate with the student’s name will be placed in the cover of the selected book, and s/he will also receive a bookmark and certificate to keep. Your child will have the distinct honor of being the very first person to check out their donated book. Once returned, the donated book will remain in Daulton’s library collection.

 

Please complete the form (sent home last week of August) return it to your child’s teacher along with your contribution. If you no longer have the form, if you have any questions, or would like to choose the book for your child please contact Sara Kavanaugh at daultonpta.birthdayclub@gmail.com.
